Giannascoli will run the department with Rebecca Mall.
Peter Giannascoli has been named co-president of domestic marketing and will jointly run the department with Rebecca Mall, Paramount Pictures announced Friday.
The film industry veteran will oversee all creative marketing efforts for the studio, including creative content, digital creative and creative advertising.
Mall, also co-president of domestic marketing, is overseeing the studio’s digital and brand strategy, media and publicity efforts. She was hired last month from Google.
“As a longtime member of the Paramount family, Peter is a gifted marketer and a well-respected veteran who has led numerous successful marketing campaigns for our studio,” Paramount Pictures Chairman and CEO Brad Grey said in a statement. “With Peter at the helm of all creative, we are positioned to develop impactful and compelling campaigns for our robust slate of upcoming films.”

As part of the restructuring, Erik Counter, president of worldwide creative marketing, will be leaving Paramount.
Giannascoli will report to Moore.
At Paramount for more than a decade, most recently as executive vp of worldwide marketing, home media, he managed strategy and implementation of marketing campaigns for Paramount’s physical and digital releases worldwide.
Previously, he held several executive positions at Paramount in the Creative Advertising group, where he was responsible for the campaigns of several of the studios most successful films, including Transformers, Iron Man and the Star Trek franchises.
